Cracked Pirouette
I’ve had fun playing in some of the challenges that Carol sets for us for the Elite Stampers blog. What’s this? It’s a challenge blog that has been created a while ago for those of us in Angela Sargeant’s downline (group name - Elite Stampers) to participate in challenges. Carol has been setting some marvellous challenges for quite a while now, she does a fantastic job and needs a big shout out of THANKS for all that she does for the group.
Anyway, this was this month’s colour challenge, a grouping she calls “Breezy Pirouette”

And this is my take on the colours…

I’ve used 2 patterned papers from the Urban Gardens DSP - loving this DSP pack so much! After picking my papers I then just screwed them up! Yep crumpled them into a little ball, and then flattened them back out - and DID it again! The Grey layer got taken to with a sanding block after this, and the Baja layer was attacked with sponge and ink.
The stamp image is from UpsyDaisy - a set I fell in love with during convention, after seeing some on-stage presentations and getting some AMAZING swaps using it. I had to have it for myself (oops!). I used the cracked glass technique to ag
e the panel.
It was then finished off with some felt flowers from Flower Fusion Too and a clear rhinestone brad - how cool is it that we can buy these in a whole container now. I have to confess when we only had them as part of the Pretties kit I was pretty miserly with them - didn’t want to use them all up. Now I use them lavishly LOL! And a dear little clip from the Clips assortment and a knot of the striped Pink Pirouette ribbon.
I was so pleased with how this one turned out that it’s one of the cards we’ll be making at my techniques class I’m holding on Wednesday, 24th June, 2009. Come along and learn how to apply various distressing techniques to your cardmaking and scrapbooking. We’ll be making this card plus one other, and also a 12×12 page. All materials are supplied by me, and the cost to you will be $25. Please let me know if you want to come along to this class, places are limited. Call on (02)46476735 or email me to secure your spot.
Cheers
